Urban / Suburban is a series of photorealistic paintings drawn from the familiar spaces of everyday life—architecture, streets, storefronts, interiors, and reflections.
Although grounded in recognizable places, the paintings are not only about accurate description. Light, geometry, surface, and small details reveal a place's character and the traces of the people who inhabit it. The ordinary becomes something worth looking at again.
