Female Matters began with my earliest sculptures; it felt natural to sculpt the female figure, using my own shape and experience as a woman as a catalyst. Influenced by 20th-century modernist sculpture, I reduced the form to its essence, stylizing and transforming the figure to suggest freedom, resilience, and strength.

My work has taken many directions over the years, but when I feel the need to reset and return to something essential, I'm drawn back to the female figure.
